SPR- HUNTSVILLE MEMBER PROFILES

Tyler Wilson (Branch Manager/Tech)

Tyler Wilson is a paranormal investigator that is what we call a skeptic believer. Growing up his mom, Brooksie, has told him stories about ghostly encounters that she experienced. Her experiences have motivated Tyler to research paranormal activity. Tyler is a tech member of Southern Paranormal Researchers and the Branch Manager of SPR-Huntsville. Tyler investigates using a logical and technical approach. Tyler uses technical equipment on investigations to help back paranormal activity with measurable and documented scientific proof. Using these tools can also show a relevance between the human senses and the equipments’ "senses."

Brooksie Wilson (Branch Manager/Intuitive)

Brooksie has experienced paranormal activity since she was a child. Brooksie has been given a gift of being able to interact with spirits. She has learned to accept the gifts she has been given and use them to seek knowledge about the unseen, the mysterious, the unknown, and the misunderstood.  Brooksie uses her Intuitive Paranormal Investigative abilities to help change the fear that most people have about ghosts and replace it with understanding and compassion for these wandering souls.

Stephanie Summer (Investigator/Public Relations)

Stephanie grew up around ghost stories and developed a curious sense for the paranormal at a young age. Every visit with her grandfather turned into a mysterious story that couldn't be explained and left her wishing she had met her great grandmother (a strong intuitive). Unknown to Stephanie, she grew up in a haunted house and remembers her parents talking about the weird things going on. Although she never experienced anything paranormal for herself, she knew it existed. Now as a young adult, Stephanie still has a strong sense of curiosity for the paranormal and actively tries to find a reason for these things that are unexplainable. She is skeptical of every possible piece of evidence that is found while investigating and believes that most paranormal activity will happen when a person is alone. Therefore, being a member of SPR is part of a long road that will help Stephanie and others prove paranormal existence.

Aaron Jackson (Tech/Historian)

Aaron’s first investigation was in March 2009 at the Kilgore House in TuscaloosaAlabama.  After having personal experiences, reviewing some of the evidence, and seeing video evidence from the house he knew that paranormal investigating was something he was interested in.  As a history major, the ability to research a location's past is one facet of what he attributes to the group.  Personally, Aaron feels the key to answering some client's questions can be found in a location's history.  Also, he feels the best way to advance the field of paranormal investigation as a science is to document paranormal activity in order to build a case to legitimize its existence.  However, our clients’ well-being is the number one priority and Aaron is fully committed to helping them in any way possible, and hope to be able to lay their fears to rest by finding natural causes of their personal experiences.

Tracey Sherril (Investigator)

Tracey has always been interested in the paranormal.  She felt that her childhood home was haunted, as well as a relative’s home.  Because of that feeling Tracey read all the ghost stories and any other book she could find about ghosts, ESP, UFO’s, etc.  Tracy’s family didn’t think it was crazy and her Dad always encouraged her curiosity.  As a student at Athens State University, Tracey studied the Paranormal under Dr. Joe Slate. Tracey has been investigating about a year now and is really happy to be working with SPR!  In her everyday life Tracey works as a supervisor for Child Protective Services and has a husband, two wonderful boys, and a dog.  It’s a pretty normal life.

Jack Roberts (Tech/Investigator)

Jack has always had an interest in the paranormal ever since he was a kid playing with his Dad’s cassette recorder picking up strange voices which he would later learn were called E.V.P.S. When Jack was in college, he came face to face with a shadow man and ever since then he has wanted to learn more about the paranormal. One of the main reasons Jack joined S.P.R. Huntsville as a paranormal investigator was to help people who live in fear in their own house because of a haunting. Jack said, “if I can help people live their lives without fear and give them piece of mind when they go to bed at night I know I have done my job well."

Beverly Oglesby (Intuitive/Investigator)

The paranormal has been a part of Beverly’s life since childhood. She was fortunate as a child to have a wonderful grandmother who never told her that the paranormal was abnormal, but rather a part of the world around us. Beverly has always been interested in the paranormal or the “unconventional”. As she has grown older, stronger experiences led her to study and seek out more answers to the unknown or unexplained. Beverly had the pleasure of meeting some talented people and a great mentor along the way who has given her invaluable information on using her abilities and has been a great source of understanding.

Mike & Beth Snee (Tech/Historian/Investigators)

Mike and Beth have been married 29 years and have lived in the Baltimore-Washington area, San Antonio Texas, and Honolulu Hawaii.  Since 2003, they call Huntsville Alabama home. Mike is a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant who worked 20 years in the Medical Information Systems arena.  He now works as a database and systems administrator, as well as serving as a branch chief for DCS Corporation.  Beth worked 20 years as a floral designer.  She has since focused her time on jewelry design and rabbit rescue.  Both are hoping to find answers to life's more complicated questions: Why are we here?  Is there absolute proof of spirits?  Deja Vu or something else?

Cathy Johnson (Investigator-in-Training)

Cathy has always enjoyed hearing ghost stories and wondered how much of them were real. Cathy was somewhat skeptical until she had kids and started to see how they behaved when spirits were present. Cathy wants to learn more about the unknown and loves having people to talk to that think along the same lines that she does. Cathy is the first to admit that she is still skeptical on certain things but she thinks that just makes it all the more interesting when something does happen that can't be explained.
